Responsibilities

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Maintenance Electrician will provide the required support for electrical work at the production plant. This will include, but not be limited to tracking, monitoring, and reporting on hours accumulated by electricians that are seeking certification through the state of Maryland.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Strong Electrical skills, including PLC and HMI experience (Allen Bradley)
  • Must follow all JSA, GMP, PPE and Lockout/Tagout regulations
  • Maintain operational functions of plant machinery and equipment, ensuring Safety and Quality
  • Must be able to work from various heights on scaffolding, ladders and mechanical lifts
  • Follow plant safety and environmental regulatory compliance
  • Support delivery of brand quality and customer satisfaction
  • Complete special projects, duties and assignments, as appropriate
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift license
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent motivation, attitude, desire and performance in  correcting machine failures, preventative maintenance and in developing working relationships with fellow employees and supervision
  • Prior experience should include fabricating, machine shop skills, and strong mechanical background. Working knowledge of electrical motors and industrial electrical controls, including design, wiring, and troubleshooting of advanced motor control circuits
  • Must be familiar with variable frequency drives and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to read, interpret and work from schematics, sketches, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to analyze data and information, and to make effective and timely decisions
  • Ability to work with others to identify opportunities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency
  • Solid problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Track and monitor hours of electricians, and prepare required documentation (per state guidelines) for certification
  • Provide support in developing a new program for apprenticeship work for the plant

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Trade School Certification preferred
  • Bachelor of Science, Associates, or Certificate in an Engineering field preferred
