The Lead 2 must take sole responsibility of assigned production/packaging line including; production speed, staffing, employee performance, line organization, sanitation, and active communication with other phases of production.


Essential Job Responsibilities 

  • Report all equipment issues to supervisors/managers and maintenance technicians 
  • Ensure all employees are trained to operate equipment properly and safely, according to manufacturer’s recommendations 
  • Ensure all products to meet Boulder Brands Quality Standards 
  • Comply with and enforce all Boulder Brands policies, procedures, and practices and ensure employees are following the same policies and procedures
  • Ensure all cleaning duties are assigned and completed 
  • Record/Log all production data accurately and within the time given 
  • Must be able to create Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Countermeasures and One Point Lesson (OPL’s) 
  • Participates in hiring, staff training and development, and the supervision of the production staff 
  • Maintains food production yields and quality assurance and control methods in a high speed food manufacturing operation focused on continuous improvement 
  • Effectively communicate all related company safety, quality, delivery, cost, and maintenance topics 
  • Motivate employees to improve efficiency and at the same time maintain high quality standards 
  • Ensure safety and productivity of all employees to assigned department 
  • Enable effective communication between management and operator 
  • Must be able to complete and send end of shift reports 
  • Must be able to communicate with cross functional departments in person and via email 
  • Assist in quality investigations 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repeatedly 
  • Perform all tasks as assigned


Essential Requirements 

  • Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time 
  • Must work as a TEAM with all supervisors and managers 
  • Must be able to give and take direction in high pressure situations 
  • Must be able to meet all production deadlines  
  • Must be able to work and succeed in a fast paced environment and adapt to change 
  • Must be willing to submit to drug testing after any incident involving injury and/or equipment 
  • Must have three (3) years manufacturing experience preferably in a commercial bakery 
  • Strong computer skills are required with the ability to quickly learn new programs 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
