Responsibilities

SCOPE OF POSITION:

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and recommend improvements for equipment. Review the daily schedule to ensure proper equipment setup. Provide and maintain safe operating conditions free from recognized safety hazards to ensure each individual performs his or her duties in a safe manner.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

  • Must follow all JSA, GMP, PPE and Lockout/Tagout regulations
  • Maintain operational functions of plant machinery and equipment, ensuring Safety and Quality
  • Must be able to work from various heights on scaffolding, ladders and mechanical lifts
  • Follow plant safety and environmental regulatory compliance
  • Support delivery of brand quality and customer satisfaction
  • Complete special projects, duties and assignments, as appropriate
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift license
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent motivation, attitude, desire and performance in relationships with fellow employees and supervision
  • correcting machine failures, preventative maintenance and in developing working
  • Prior experience should include fabricating, machine shop skills, strong mechanical background. Working knowledge of electrical motors and industrial electrical controls, including design, wiring, and troubleshooting of advanced motor control circuits
  • Must be familiar with variable frequency drives and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to read, interpret and work from schematics, sketches, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to analyze data and information, and to make effective and timely decisions
  • Ability to work with others to identify opportunities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency
  • Solid problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Allen Bradley PLC and HMI experience preferred

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor of Science, Associates, or Certificate in an Engineering field preferred
