    The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for performing all necessary electrical maintenance services to maximize the operation of all production lines and provide maintenance support to the facility. Responsible for promoting all plant safety, GMP, food safety policies, and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Committed to producing safe, quality food.

    • Maintains the correct operation of all the production lines including all mechanical and electrical services.

     

    • Performs all electrical maintenance, adjustments, and preventive maintenance of equipment to improve its operation and reliability.

     

    • Installs conduit, wire and associated electrical devices (switches, disconnects, Etc.)
    •  
    • Perform all work conforming to Pinnacle Foods Group LLC, state and local and NEC codes.
    •  
    • Ability to carry out the following functions: welding, electrical trouble shooting, parts manufacturing, and proper operation of shop equipment.
    •  
    • Follow all Safety and Good Manufacturing Policy rules.
    •  
    • Exhibit flexibility when needed to help on special projects or in other areas of the facility when needed.
    •  
    • Assists employees in the training of equipment safety and operating methods to maximize efficiencies.
    •  
    • Assists in construction type work involving the removal or installation of equipment.

     

    • Communication with maintenance leadership via email and also proficiency with EAM computerized maintenance system.
    • Performs other duties as assigned in support of maintaining the facility and production lines.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    The Maintenance Electrical Technician must have strong electrician and technical problem solving skills and PC literate. They must have strong personal skills, use good judgment, keep commitments, and be dependable.  They must also adapt to change and willingly accept new responsibilities, projects, assignments, etc.  Electrical Maintenance Technicians must accept accountability for their own performance/behavior.

     

    The person must have strong interpersonal skills, keep an open mind and listen to diverse views. They must respect, cooperate and work well with others, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and must be able to handle criticism and complaints.  The Maintenance Electrical Technician must organize and prioritize assigned and unplanned work to efficiently complete.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    The employee must be able to work in strained positions, lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces, have excellent vision and hearing abilities, and must have the ability to perform job duties effectively and safely.

     

     

    BACK UP

     

    Maintenance Supervisor will staff positions with qualified team members in case of absence.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

     

    The temperature will vary depending upon specific working location. Hearing protection is required and is provided by the plant.  Slip resistant shoes and safety glasses are required.

    TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:

     

    Minimum of four years as a maintenance technician or electrician with proven ability to maintain facility utilities.

     

    Associates Degree, or a minimum of two years from a vocational/technical institution. Applicable trade certification and/or relevant experience beyond the minimum requirement for this position are an acceptable substitute for the educational requirement.

     

    The employee must be able to read, write, keep accurate and legible paperwork, and enter data into computer relative to the job requirements.
