    This position is responsible for the setting up and completion of outbound shipments from the plant.  The Shipping Clerk will be stationed in the guard shack and will be responsible for do a check list on all inbound and outbound trailers from the lot.


    Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor



    The Shipping Clerk could perform, but not limited to, one or more of the following duties:


    • Schedule and verify shipments with carriers and Corporate Transportation.
    • Set up shipments in the computer system.
    • Inspect incoming trailers using a checklist and communicating with the Receiving Coordinator for inbound freight.
    • Checking all outbound trailers for correct seal information, unit setting, fuel level and other information as needed.
    • Assign trailers to bay doors for loading.
    • Obtain necessary information and record on haccp documentation such as carrier, trailer number, trailer setting, trailer temperature, MOA, lot number and product temperature. 
    • Prepare and assign loading instructions to Forklift operators to work from.
    • Report inventory discrepancies to your supervisor.
    • Keep and maintain any record or statistical data as needed.
    • Keep and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
    • Perform job in safe and efficient manner as directed by company procedures and GMP’s.
    • Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

    Minimum qualifications for this position are as follows:


    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Possess a Valid Driver’s License.
    • Intermediate Computer Skills such as Excel and Computerized inventory systems.
    • Strong Attention to detail.
    • Ability to solve issues in a logical and efficient way.
    • Able to work with minimal Supervision.
    • Must be able to pass a background check and pre employment drug test.
