    Come join the Vlasic Maintenance team in Imlay City! This 2nd shift Electrician will support the electrical work at the production plant for afternoon shift.

    Responsibilities

    • Must follow all JSA, GMP, PPE and Lockout/Tagout regulations
    • Follow plant safety and environmental regulatory compliance
    • Support delivery of brand quality and customer satisfaction
    • Track and monitor hours of electricians, and prepare required documentation (per state guidelines) for certification
    • Provide support in developing a new program for apprenticeship work for the plant
    • Complete special projects, duties and assignments, as appropriate

    Qualifications

    To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

    •  Prior experience should include fabricating, machine shop skills, strong mechanical background. Working knowledge of electrical motors and industrial electrical controls, including design, wiring, and troubleshooting of advanced motor control circuits
    • Must be familiar with variable frequency drives and troubleshooting
    • Must be able to read, interpret and work from schematics, sketches, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
    • Ability to analyze data and information, and to make effective and timely decisions
    • Ability to work with others to identify opportunities
    • Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency
    • Solid problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
    • Must be able to work from various heights on scaffolding, ladders and mechanical lifts
    • Must be able to obtain a forklift license
    • Must be able to demonstrate excellent motivation, attitude, desire and performance in correcting machine failures, preventative maintenance and in developing working relationships with fellow employees and supervision
    • Allen Bradley PLC and HMI experience preferred
    •  The individual must be available to work 7 days per week during peak production seasons

    EDUCATION:

    High School Diploma or GED required  

    Bachelor of Science, Associates, or Certificate in an Engineering field preferred
