    The Material Supply will be responsible for SQF (Safe Quality Food); food safety and Quality Assurance by properly setting up the packaging / processing areas with ingredients and packaging materials while using a forklift. The incumbent conducts inventories of materials and supplies and is also responsible for keeping a count of the amount of wet waste produced on each line. This position is also responsible for waste and bi-product removal from the processing and packaging areas and reports to Supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    Individual must be capable of performing all of the following job duties as required:

    • Must have Forklift and Hand truck Certification.
    • Must complete forklift inspection daily.
    • Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
    • Experience in loading and unloading trucks, usage of dock locks, etc.
    • Cardboard and trash compactor training.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
    • May be required to work overtime as needed.

    Responsibilities: Packaging area, include the following:

    • Keep lines set up with correct packaging material. (Cartons, cases, film, etc).
    • Monitor schedule to ensure that correct materials are set for change overs.
    • Keep pallets set up on lines when running bulk pack products and take full pallets back to shipping as needed.
    • Keep record of lot numbers of packaging materials brought out to the production floor.
    • Communicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance.

    Responsibilities: Processing area, include the following:

    • Keep lines set up with dry ingredients. (Crumbs, pre-dust, spice blends, etc.)
    • Keep lines set up with tempered fish from the holding freezer.
    • Assist with the moving/set up of the processing equipment at change overs.
    • Assist utility operator with baling cardboard and dumping trash in processing area if needed.
    • Pull eggs, oil, and other ingredients needed for Bldg. 22 pancake lines.
    • Keep record of lot numbers of ingredients brought to processing area.
    • Communicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance.

    Education and / or Experience:

     

    High School diploma or General Education degree (GED).

     

    Reasoning Ability:

     

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
